Tips for easy storage and ease of use.
1. The extension strap is included for customers to use as they need. It can help those who may have a much larger highchair than normal and can't get the bib straps to fit around the back of the highchair. It may also be helpful if using on a pram and extra length is needed to get the straps around the back of the pram. Last, for anyone using it as an apron, the strap can provide extra length around the belly.
2. For ease of storage, hang the bibs on a door such as the front or back of the kitchen pantry door.
a) This will allow easy access to them as a bib or an apron.
b) It helps your cleaning process - after you've wiped the bib, you simply hang it to dry in the same place it is stored. No need to worry about putting it away damp in a drawer, or having to remember to put it away when it's dry. Just wipe and hang, and it's ready for next time.
c) Saves time when machine washing. Simply take the bib out of the machine and hang it straight up in your cupboard. No need to hang it on the washing line.
3. Apron Use: keep the apron straps hung up with the bibs. For ease of use, keep the straps tied up in a bow and simply fasten them onto the bib when you want to use it. No need to tie them up every time.
4. Toddlers will refuse to co-operate at times about all kinds of things. They might refuse to sit in the car seat, refuse to wear the clothes you've picked out for them, or refuse to eat their food. If your child has an instance of refusing to wear the bib, try to distract them with the food they are about to eat. If you can, offer them something they need to hold with their hand as this helps to redirect their focus elsewhere while you put the bib on them.
Another approach is to have the bib already fastened around the tray before putting your child in the highchair. So, rather then putting the bib around your child's neck first and then fastening around the tray, put the bib around the tray first and then bring the top part of the bib up and put around their neck. You could also try putting the bib under the tray if you normally put it on top. Or, you might not put the bib on the tray at all and just allow it to hang over your child's legs for that particular time. Like anything, it is a matter of trying to work with your child, while maintaining a pattern of use so that it becomes a part and parcel of everyday activity.
